Motorists warned aboutLimehill Road

POLICE are warning motorists they could face prosecution if they ignore road signs regarding the closure of Limehill Road outside Lisburn.

They say a large number of motorists are continuing to use the road despite clear signage that the road is closed until March 23.

An alternative route is available via Ballynahinch Road, Comber Road, Ravarnet Road, Hillsborough Old Road to Ballynahinch Road.

Police say that motorists ignoring the road closure are committing an offence (breach of traffic sign) and could be prosecuted.
