Mount Druid organisers say thanks

A spokesperson said: “A very special thanks to the many exhibitors who brought their vehicles often long distances on what was a very cold day, to be with us at Ballintoy Rectory.

“Thanks also to the press for coverage before and after the rally. A big thank you to our families and friends who helped us out at the various stalls, teas etc.

“To those who gave demonstrations of any kind from dancing, wood turning or sheep dipping a heartfelt thank you, as this added so much enjoyment to the event. We are also extremely grateful to the general public for all their donations, loans of many pieces of equipment and especially for coming along to support us on the day.

“The music supplied by the local artists set the scene for an enjoyable day all round and we are indebted to Sam O’Neill and Michael Kennedy for having played each and every year for us.

“Finally we thank the Barton family for making their home and gardens available as the picturesque setting is remarked upon by many and enjoyed by all.”
