Mourners to line out in tribute to Keith Strain

Mourners are expected to line out this afternoon in tribute to a popular Portadown man who was found dead on Friday.

Keith Strain, or Straino to his friends, was found in his flat at Magowan House in West Street.

Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.

His funeral, which takes place today, is private due to the current restrictions.

However those wishing to pay their respects may do so as the cortege passes over the Bann Bridge today (Monday)ck at around 2.30pm

He was a popular young man who was regarded as kind and affable.

He will be greatly missed by his loving parents Kenneth and Jennifer and siblings Joanne, Geoffrey, Kirstien, Garth, Tara and Kelly and wider family.

Meanwhile a second man was found dead in a separate flat in the same building also on Friday.

A PSNI spokesperson said on Monday: “A post mortem has been carried out following the sudden death of a man in the West Street area of Portadown.

“Police await further results from a toxicology report but at this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
