Movers and shakers meet at city event

A SENIOR procurement boss at a major Londonderry-based manufacturer says an exclusive networking event bringing together big business and influential local decision makers was the perfect way of building up “good working relationships.”

Eamon McIvor, Senior Materials/Purchasing Manager at Seagate’s Springtown facility, made the comments after attending the Meet the Buyer event, which was organised by Enterprise Derry and afforded local businesses the opportunity to rub shoulders with influential decision makers from the public and big business.

“This whole event was perfect for Seagate in their strategy to encourage local suppliers and smaller companies to bid for our business and yesterday we had the chance to meet these potential suppliers face to face, where we offered direct advice to them our procurement requirements.
