Moyle District Council’s ever popular ‘Grants Scheme for Older Person’s Christmas Events’ has returned for its fourth year running and is now open for applications.

Applicants will be asked to show how they will involve the older people of their communities in their events and how it will benefit more than just their own group members. All events must be held before 14th January 2012.

Successful applicants will receive a percentage of their total eligible costs, with awards varying per group based the cost, size and potential impact of their event. With increasing numbers of applicants seeking assistance each year, the amount of grant available is limited to a maximum grant of £250 per group so as many applicants can be supported as possible.

Many local groups throughout Moyle will have been contacted with details of the ‘2011 Christmas Grants Scheme for Older Persons’, however if your group is planning a Christmas event for the Older People of your community this year and hasn’t received the information, please contact Moyle District Council for an Application Pack as soon as possible.

Application Forms and Guidelines for Applicants for the 2011 Christmas Grants Scheme for Older Persons can be obtained by contacting the Development Department at Moyle District Council on (028) 2076 2225 or email: [email protected]. Information can also be downloaded from the Good Relations section of the Moyle District Council Website: www.moyle-council.org
