Moyle councillor welcomes camping pods

Speaking after visiting the pods which are currently being constructed in Cushendall Caravan Park, Councillor Thompson said: “Tourism has become vitally important to the local economy and the Sinn Fein team are doing all we can to promote our local tourist industry. I have no doubt that the installation of these new camping pods in both Cushendun and Cushendall as well as the provision of increased touring caravan space in Cushendall will contribute to more people coming to The Glens on holiday.

“It is exciting times for tourism in The Glens, we have a unique product and we must do everything we possibly can to maximise that product to bring economic benefits to the area. The continued promotion our tourism will remain a priority for myself and for Sinn Fein in The Glens as we seek to support local enterprise and create jobs.”
