Moyle PCSP - What’s it all about exactly?

Moyle PCSP is delighted to invite and welcome interested residents and community activists to attend the PCSP Showcase event in the Marine Hotel in Ballycastle on Friday 5th July between 10am and 1.00pm.

The event will offer an opportunity to find out what the Policing & Community Safety Partnership is all about.

A spokeperson said: “You can meet our members, find out about current project activity and raise any issues or concerns relating to Policing or Community Safety in Moyle.

“Our membership is made up of 8 local Councillors, 7 Independent members from the community and business sectors and 7 designated bodies which includes the Police, the Housing Executive, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Probation Board, Youth Justice agency, Northern Health and Social Care Trust and NEELB Youth Service.

“The 2013-14 Action Plan has been informed by the feedback received from the community audit and consultation carried out earlier in the year. The PCSP has taken on board the concerns and comments raised by the community and have put in place a plan to meet the wider community needs in relation to Policing and Community Safety.

“We are delighted to be working with Moyle Council, PSNI, Causeway VIPs, Solas Moyle, Causeway Women’s Aid, Good Morning Ballycastle and the Health Improvement Community Development Services who are all actively involved in promoting and delivering a range of services in Moyle as part of a diverse PCSP action plan which in funded by the Joint Committee made up of the Department of Justice and NI Policing Board Moyle District Council and a range of community safety partner organisations and seeks to support youth, senior residents, victims and families.

“If you are unfamiliar with the work of the PCSP, are unsure of what members represent your area or interests or just want to find out what services are being delivered through our action plan, please come along and talk to us on the 5th July at the Marine Hotel.

“If you have direct concerns around Policing or Community Safety Issues in your area you will have the opportunity to speak to key representatives from relevant organisations or you can raise you issues with PCSP Staff at the event.
