THE following items have been submitted by the PSNI in the Moyle area.

On Monday 21st January, a 27-year-old man from the Portballintrae area was arrested on suspicion of Breach of a Non-Molestation Order and Breach of Bail in the Heronshaw area of Bushmills. He has been charged to appear at North Antrim Magistrates’ Court on 20th February.

On Tuesday 22nd January approximately 1200 litres of home heating oil was reported stolen from a dwelling on Church Road, Ballycastle. It would appear that the gauge was removed from the top of the oil tank and the oil siphoned out.

Between the evening of Monday 21st January and 3pm on Tuesday 22nd January, 300 litres of heating oil was stolen from a property on Straid Road, Ballycastle. The pipe to the oil tank had been cut.

On Wednesday 23rd January a 27-year-old man from the Dervock area was arrested in Mayo Drive, Ballycastle, on suspicion of Possession of Class B Drug. He was released to bail.

On Wednesday 23rd January police received a report that a casing for a pillar light had been stolen from the end of a driveway on the Lisnagat Road, Liscolman. Police believe that the intention was for the thieves to steal the second light on the opposite pillar as the screws had been loosened but were disturbed. Police in Ballycastle are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact them.

On Wednesday 23rd January, following a search of a property in Whitehall Court, Ballycastle, a 32-year-old man who gave an address in Belfast, was arrested on suspicion of Possession of Class B Substance. He has been released on bail.

On Thursday 24th January, police received a report that a quantity of heating oil had been stolen from the tank at a dwelling house in the Bellisk Park area of Cushendall.

Between 5pm on Wednesday 23rd January and the morning of Thursday 24th January, a 6’ X 4’ Ifor Williams trailer was stolen from the Whitepark Road area of Bushmills. The trailer is galvanised and silver in colour with a number of “Balloo” stickers on the chassis.

On an unknown date, damage was caused to the back door and a kitchen window of a dwelling house in the Mill Farm area of Mosside.

Damage has been caused to an outhouse door and two padlocks at a derelict property on Moycraig Road, Bushmills. It is not believed that access to the property was gained and nothing was reported stolen.

Some time in recent weeks a burglary occurred at a dwelling house in the Riverview Crescent area of Cushendun. Entry gained via the back kitchen window. Two guitars, an EKO 12 string Sunburst and a Feder Telicaster 68 model, were stolen. Also stolen was a 42” plasma Panasonic television, 3 Dawia fishing rods and reels, a “Grey Parrot” dry suit, a 28” Panasonic television and a red lady Royal Doulton figurine. Enquiries continuing.

Police in Ballycastle area appealing for witnesses to a one vehicle road traffic collision which occurred just before 10am on Saturday 26th January on the Toberdoney Road, Liscolman. The car involved was a blue Vauxhall Corsa. The female driver and two children sustained injuries in the accident.

In the early hours of Sunday 27th January, a 22-year-old Ballycastle man was arrested on suspicion of Disorderly Behaviour on Castle Street, Ballycastle. He has been charged to appear at North Antrim Magistrates’ Court on 20th February.

Police in Ballycastle are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred on the Moyarget Road on Monday 7th January at approximately 10pm. It occurred one mile outside Mosside on the Derrykeighan side. The collision involved a red Nissan Almera and a scooter. Police believe another motorist may have seen or been near the collision and are appealing for the driver to come forward.
