Moyle police news round-up

Police in Moyle are investigating after a transit van was found burnt out along the Ballinlea Road, Ballycastle on Monday, December 2nd.

In a separate incident, copper piping is thought to have been stolen from the roof rack of a van which was parked along Drumavoley Road, Ballycastle.

The piping was taken sometime on Tuesday, December 3rd.

Police searched premises in the Ramoan Road area of Ballycastle on Tuesday, December 3rd. As a result, a man in his twenties was street bailed on suspicion of possession of Class B drug.

Tyres on three vehicles were damaged in the Moyarget Road area of Ballycastle.

It is believed that the damage happened sometime between Monday 2nd December and Tuesday, December 3rd.

Police are investigating a suspected break-in at a mobile classroom in the Moyle Road area of Ballycastle on Monday 25 November.

Numerous items were stolen including an external DVD drive and remote controls for data projectors.

A man in his thirties has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a property in Altananma Park, Ballycastle and on suspicion of resisting police on Sunday 08 December.

Police have also arrested a forty year old man in the Bushmills area on suspicion of common assault.

Enquiries are continuing.

Finally, police have arrested a man in his twenties in the Broombeg View area of Ballycastle on suspicion of possession of a Class A drugs. Enquiries are continuing.
