Moyle Police Notes

POLICE in Ballycastle have released the following details about incidents in the Moyle area.

* 07.03.11 - 11.34am - Theft of Oil Boiler from house at Ballybrack Road, Cushendall. Unoccupied property. Stolen between 25.02.11 and 07.03.11.

Appeal for anything suspicious on this road, or in the area.

* 07.03.11 - 5.02pm - Seizure of uninsured van at Moyarget Road, Ballycastle. If it is not insured and found on the road, police can and will seize your vehicle.

* 08.03.11 - 8:17am - Report of damage to padlock to quarry at Magheramore Road, Ballycastle. Two vans broken into and driven round. Also shed broken into and £500 of tools stolen. £200 of damage caused to vans. Appeal for information.

* 08.03.11 - 11.37am - Lost engagement ring in the Cushendall area. Appeal for anyone that may know this ring’s whereabouts.

* 10.03.11 - 7:15pm - Theft of bottle of Bailey’s stolen from Ramage’s Centra, Bushmills. One male arrested, charged and taken to court.

* 10.03.11 - 10.23pm - Report of robbery by two males persons at Spar, Bushmills. Two males wearing bin liners over their head, wearing white and grey hoodies, 5’8” in height, slim build, entered the shop and threatened staff with a hammer. Money taken from tills.

Police are appealing for any information. Discarded items found close to Heronshaw, Appeal for anyone who saw suspicious activity in this area, Police appealing for any information.

At the time of this incident police were in Bushmills and the police helicopter was in area within 25 minutes.

* 11.03.11 - 11.24am - One male arrested at Coleraine station for alleged harassment in Bushmills. Person interviewed and charged to court on 4.4.11.

* 11.03.11 - 1.17pm - Burglary of copper piping and water cylinder from vacant house at Cushendall Road, Ballycastle. Stolen between December and 11.03.11. Appeal for information.

* 13.03.11 - 11.23am -Report of theft of £300 of tools from shed at Glenshesk Road, Ballycastle, some time between, 12.03.11 and 13.03.11.
