MP asks May about Kincora

LONDONDERRY MP Mark Durkan has asked Home Secretary Theresa May if she was asking the security services to share any intelligence relating to alleged paedophile rings at various locations including the Kincora Boys’ Home in Belfast.

Speaking at Westminster Mr Durkan asked: “Is the Home Secretary asking the security services to review and, where appropriate, share any intelligence that they have relating to cases and places of abuse and to the persons, networks and patterns involved, not just in north Wales but - as other Members have suggested - more widely, including, but not only, in respect of Kincora?”

Mrs May replied: “The National Crime Agency, whose investigation will take place at the request of the chief constable of North Wales police, will pursue whatever avenues they need to pursue to ensure that they can take an appropriate approach to bringing perpetrators to justice.”
