MP gets results forMonkstown residents

EAST Antrim MP Sammy Wilson has visited homes in Monkstown to see the improvements that have taken place to some homes in the area, as a result of funds he has made available as Finance Minister.

The MP said: “In August I released funds to be used to improve housing, and I was pleased to be able to visit some of these homes in Monkstown recently to see the work that has been carried out.

“Wooden windows which were rotting and letting in the cold and damp have now been replaced.

“This will be of huge benefit to local residents as the improvements will keep their homes warmer and it is good to see the money that was released has made a real difference for people in Monkstown.

“This is another example of the Executive practically delivering for people on the ground.”

Community workers in the area, Davy McCrea and Darren Beattie, added: “We want to thank Sammy for his support, and for making money available for these improvements through the Executive.

“We also want to thank Dixon Contracts for working closely with the local residents and community groups so that the improvements took place with as little disruption as possible.”
