MP is set for annual Christmas charity 
sit out in Banbridge

David Simpson MP has for the last ten years had an annual sit out in Banbridge Town Centre in the run up to Christmas to raise money for Donard Special School.

This year there will be extra Christmas sparkle withseveral local primary schools, and Banbridge Academy coming along to sing carols and a visit from the “man in the big red coat” is expected.

The Banbridge sit out will take place on Thursday December 11 outside Supervalu on the Main Street.

Speaking ahead of the sit out David Simpson MP said, “I am always amazed at the generosity of people from the Banbridge area when I have my annual sit out. 

“This year to mark the 10th year, I will be having some of the local primary schools along with St Mary’s PS at 9.45am, Bronte at 10.45am, Donard School at 1.30pm, and Banbridge Academy at 2.30pm. 

“Also there will be a special visit from Santa himself at various times throughout the day.

“The sit out will take place on December 11 and everyone is welcome to come along and give a donation which will go in its entirety to Donard Special School. “This year will see us break the £30,000 total across the three town centres Banbridge, Portadown and Lurgan.  “I look forward to seeing you in Banbridge Town Centre on December 11 and wishing you a very Happy Christmas as your Member of Parliament.”
