Big Lottery Fund Director Joanne McDowell commented “We want to support families cope with issues such as separation, absence of a key family member, poverty, disability, homelessness and abuse.”

Mr Paisley noted “The Kinnections project is such a worthy programme for the Big Lottery Fund to offer their support to and I am delighted they chose to do so. The project will support over 700 children across Northern Ireland who are living in kinship care, a significant number of whom are in the Ballymena and Ballymoney area.”

The project will help children and their carers access better support, including group activities and kin support groups.
