MP’s weekend of coffee mornings
It’s been a marathon coffee morning weekend. Right throughout the constituency everyone has been doing their bit for Macmillan Cancer; tasty scones, fabulous tray bakes and strong coffee helped keep local MP David Simpson going along with the “spirit of generosity” in the many homes, churches, community centres and schools he visited.
Mr Simpson said, “In each home, church, school and community centre I visited there was a warm hearty welcome and I must say the spirt of generosity helped keep me going. I attended 10 coffee mornings but I know that there were many more.“
