'˜Much needed' resurfacing work to get underway at Ballymaguigan

Much needed resurfacing work is shortly to get underway at Ballymaguigan.

Welcoming the news SDLP MLA Patsy McGlone said a number of local residents had been in touch with him over the last few months regarding the poor condition of the Shore Road.

As a result, the Mid Ulster MLA made representations to Transport NI urging them to carry out improvements as a matter of urgency.

“Transport NI have confirmed that they have already started to raise the footway between the school and Barrack Road and will be resurfacing here in a few weeks’ time,” he said.

“They are also hoping to carry out some patching on the other side of the school as well as resurfacing O’Neill Park during the on-going work.”

Mr McGlone thanked thank Transport NI for their assistance in getting the work scheduled.
