Multi-million pound purchase of Carrick business park

A leading UK property group has entered the Northern Ireland market with the multi-million pound acquisition of Kilroot Business Park.

The 60-acre site on the outskirts of Carrickfergus was recently bought from Highcross by Canmoor.

And following the purchase, commercial property agency Lisney has been appointed alongside McConnell Chartered Surveyors as joint letting agent.

Andrew Gawley, associate director at Lisney, commented: “Lisney has a strong pedigree in successfully letting and selling business parks and will deliver a first-class service to current tenants requiring additional space as well as providing expert guidance in sourcing new tenants and purchasers for the site.

“We are the ‘go-to’ agent for high-profile commercial property projects such as this and we are looking forward to working with Canmoor on this development.

“It is fantastic to see an established leader in the industrial park sector such as Canmoor investing heavily in Northern Ireland.”

The park has industrial and office units ranging from 100 to 90,000 sq ft available to let as well as new design and build opportunities from

15,000 sq ft to 130,000 sq ft.

Tom White, director at Canmoor, said: “We appointed Lisney because the team has the required experience and expertise in the Northern Irish commercial property sector to deliver on the brief for this project.

“The agency understands our requirements and we are delighted to be working with them on our first venture in Northern Ireland. There is great potential in the site and, together with Lisney, working alongside McConnells, we will be able to fully realise that potential.”
