Mums and Tots take ‘First Steps’ in new programme

A team from the church, led by the pastor’s wife Christine Taylor, visited the local neighbourhood this week and gave out invitations to local mothers who would like to go on Thursday mornings.

They will enjoy a time of chat and laughter as their little ones mingle and play with others of similar age. Mums, dads, grandparents and child-minders are invited to bring along the tiny tots.

First Steps will be led by a number of ladies with others helping as well. A few will take it in turn to provide a morning cup of tea or coffee for the mums. Mrs Taylor said she is delighted with the team that is heading up the venture, and is grateful to all who have donated toys and other items to keep the tots occupied.

The church hall can be accessed through the car park off Tonagh Avenue. Mums and Tots ‘First Steps’ is open to all with any church connection or none.

This is a voluntary service to the community for mums with babies and toddlers up to four years of age.
