Mum’s the word forSure Start course

A group of local mum have been cooking up a storm thanks to a Sure Start course.

The participants enjoyed the ‘Cook It’ programme delivered in partnership with Harpur’s Hill Children and Family Centre and the North Coast Integrated College.

The practical course promotes healthy eating and helps parents learn simple recipes to use at home.

The course was facilitated by Shirley Howard, one of the Family Support Workers and Sue McCready, a volunteer, both from Harpur’s Hill Children and Family Centre.

Sure Start delivers support and services to families antenatally and until their children reach the age of four.

All those with a young family who live in the Ballysally, Cross Glebe, Churchlands and Central Wards and the estates of Millburn and Windy Hall are welcome to join in! For more information contact 028 7032 1032.
