Murder accused is granted bail

A man accused of the murder of a man in Toomebridge last month has been granted bail at Londonderry Magistrate's Court.

Finbar McCoy (24), from Loughbeg Road, Toomebridge, had been remanded in custody since January 20 after being charged with the murder of James McDonagh (28) outside the Elk Bar on January 10. Mr McDonagh died the following day in a Belfast hospital.

McCoy was released on his own bail of £2,000 with a cash surety of £2,000, must sign at a police station three times a week and observe a curfew until his next court on March 10.
