Murder victim named as John Lamont
The 64 year old man who died after a stabbing incident in the Carnvale area of Ballymena during the early hours of this morning has been named as John Lamont. A 59 year old woman has been taken to hospital suffering from stab wounds. Her condition is described as serious.
A 26 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. He is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
