‘MY SON IS LUCKY TO BE ALIVE’

THE mother of a Rathcoole schoolboy who was injured in a hit-and-run incident at the weekend says her son is lucky to be alive.

Five-year-old Josh Patton was struck by a car as he crossed the road with friends on Sunday afternoon, just yards from his Nendrum Gardens home.

According to witnesses, the driver of the silver coloured Vauxhall Corsa stopped momentarily, but then drove on, leaving Josh lying injured in the street.
