Myeloma matters to Portstewart Strand Bridge Club

ON behalf of Portstewart Strand Bridge Club Joe Austin, Dr Pearse Donnelly and Michael Jamison have presented Nicola Lenny and Jim O'Kane with a cheque for £500 towards Myeloma UK.

The donation now means that a figure in excess of 14,500 has been raised by the Pauline O’Kane Family and Friends 4 Miles 4 Myeloma.

Myeloma is an increasingly common cancer of the plasma cells. Plasma cells are found in the bone marrow and are responsible for protecting the body against infection.

The income raised will enable Myeloma UK to fund research into life saving drugs as they embark on their clinical trials.
