Nadine plans local wedding

NADINE Coyle has told the Sentinel of her plans for a city wedding.

Speaking before greeting hundreds of fans at an in-store album signing at Antrim’s Tesco on Monday, the Girls Aloud star turned solo pop singer described her joy at being engaged to football hunk Jason Bell and told us: “The wedding will be held in the city or very close to it.

“An Irish wedding is definitley on the cards, I want at least a couple of ceremonies!”, said the stunning singer, “Derry or Donegal, without a doubt is high up there. Jason loves Ireland, especially the scenery and the greenness. It actually reminds him of Hawaii because of all the green.

“I have to drive though when we are over because he can’t get used to the way that we drive on the other side of the road. ”

The Londonderry star, whose album Insatiable was released on Monday exclusively at Tesco stores, described her joy at being back on Northern Ireland soil and how much she misses her ‘old’ home comforts.

“It’s great to be home, honestly when I come back I feel like a huge weight has lifted off my shoulders. When I walk off the plane, into the airport and know that I am home, I just relax.”

“This morning I had an Ulster Fry, which was amazing. One of the big things I miss about Derry is the food, especially Longs Bakery.”

On Sunday Nadine’s debut single went into the charts at number 26. Pressure has mounted on the star’s solo career to reflect that of former band mate Cheryl Cole, whose debut album went platinum last year.

“I haven’t read anything in the press at all because the good stuff isn’t true and the bad stiff isn’t true,” said the singer. “There’s just no point in even looking at it. It’s such a joke. But I know that the press have their job to do and I have mine. It’s nothing personal.”

Speaking about the sings on the album, Nadine says she has a special connection with each and every track which “changes all the time”.

“At the minute it’s Runnin’, just because of the beat and the groove. It’s a real head bopping track that just really uplifts me, a real good upbeat vibe.

“I really enjoyed the song writing. I got to work with a lot of amazing people and it was also a chance for me to put my stamp on it and use my creativity.”

Nadine’s album Insatiable is in Tesco stores now.
