Nancy never forgot her roots

She had moved to Brander Ha’ East High Street, Forfar where her and her late husband Nicholas moved to be near their son Colin.

Nancy as she was affectionately known, was the dearly loved wife of Nicholas Proctor, they lived in Golf Terrace, Banbridge before moving to Scotland but never forgot her native heath.

They returned to Banbridge every year for the Twelfth celebrations, especially the 13th in Scarva. She was even planning to come over this year but her health detoriated so quickly she couldn’t make the trip.

When Nancy was working she was employed with Mayfair Gilford.

She attended worship in Holy Trinity Parish Church here in Banbridge and joined Forfar Community Church where she took part in the activities of the Church.

Nancy is survived by her son Colin, daughter-in-law Lynnette, five grandchildren Molly, Jake, Aaron, Rachel and Philip and sister Annie (Killyleagh area).

To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been extended.

Nancy’s remains were brought home to Banbridge for a service in Holy Trinity Parish Church where the Ven. Archdeacon Roderic West gave an inspiring address and the Rev Rosie Diffin officiated.

The hymns ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’ and ‘Be thou my vision’ were sung. Mr. Roly Anketel presided at the organ.

The family appreciated the number of friends at the funeral and all those who helped in any way.

Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu of flowers are being sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Strathmore Hospice and Help the Heroes. (Cheques made payable to William Bell and Co.)
