Nathan jets off to LA film festival

The 18 year old Wallace High School pupil is one of the Young Ambassadors representing Northern Ireland at the launch of the Cinemagic LA Festival.

Nathan has undertaken work experience in Northern Ireland made films Dracula Untold and High Rise and participated in Cinemagic’s Entwined Histories project and the 2014 Cinemagic BFI Film Academy.

He is being joined in the US by his fellow Cinemagic Young Ambassadors Meghan McArdle, 19, from Armagh, Tory Killen,18, from Portaferry, Natasha Mudi, 18, from Spa, Jonathan Collins, 19, from Sion Mills, Ellie Alcorn, 19, from Newtownards, Ruth Rodgers, 18, from Belfast, Bethany Sloan, 20, from Newtownabbey, Gareth Greenfield, 18, from Dromore and Chloe McAllister, 19 from Ballygowan.

The Young Ambassadors are helping to launch the sixth annual film festival for children and young people, which runs until March 15.

They will also meet with young people from America for a host of film related opportunities throughout their time in the States.

Through Cinemagic masterclasses, screenings, Q&As, and workshops, young people will get the unique opportunity to hear first-hand from those in the industry and gain an insight to the various roles and careers that exist.
