During her time at the Causeway School, Dorothy has worked with many pupils from schools in the Coleraine area.

Vivienne Quinn, the Board’s Adviser for Environment and Society paid tribute to Dorothy, she said: “Dorothy has always been honest and hardworking.

“She will be sorely missed by her colleagues and also by visiting primary classes and their teachers who come to the Causeway School to take part in our living history programme.

“Her warm welcome for visitors and hospitality for many events will always be remembered”.

The Causeway School Museum is open to the general public throughout July, August and most of September.

Admission charges apply and there is free car parking behind the School for visitors.
