Network outreaches to groups

North Antrim Community Network will be holding an outreach clinic Larne on Wednesday, May 15.

The clinic will be an opportunity for local community groups to meet NACN project staff to seek advice on funding opportunities, support to complete funding applications, project development, action planning, setting up new community groups, community surveys, training needs, and meeting facilitation.

The event is one of several clinics taking place throughout the north Antrim area in May and June.

James McKay, chairman of NACN welcomed the opportunity for staff to engage on a more regular basis with local groups.

He added: “We are encouraging our staff to be proactive in terms of reaching out to local groups, particularly those based further away from our main office in Cushendall.

“I would encourage groups to contact the NACN office, at their earliest convenience, to make an appointment to meet the staff attending the outreach clinics in their area.”

“Staff will be able to give practical support to groups, on a one to one basis, which, we hope, will be of value to the groups and their work in the community.”

The Larne clinic will take place in the Wilson Room of the Town Hall from 4pm to 8pm.

NACN would encourage appointments for each session to be made in advance for planning purposes. However, there will also be an opportunity to drop in during the outreach clinic anytime between 4pm and 8pm.
