Networking tips on how to hook up new opportunities

EFFECTive networking is the theme for the next business seminar organised by Larne Development Forum.

The free event - taking place on Friday, November 16 - is titled ‘Network to Getwork - building your business through effective networking’,

The speaker is Bill Manson of Podiem Ltd. Bill has spent the majority of his career in the area of people and organisation development with a particular focus on growing and developing management teams with leadership abilities.

The venue for the event is the McNeill Theatre, Larne Leisure Centre and includes breakfast from 8am to 8.30am in the Prom Café with the seminar starting at 8.30am. The seminar will be over by 10am.

This is the second event in the new series of vital business seminars funded by Larne Borough Council and organised through Larne Development Forum.

Future monthly seminars are planned up to July 2013 and will cover topics such as sales and marketing, using the internet to maximise sales, tax allowances for small businesses, trading in the Irish Republic, trading in China and pensions and investments for the self employed.

Chairman of Larne Development Forum, Cllr Martin Wilson said: “Networking is a vital aspect of marketing and promoting your business, providing opportunity for face-to-face contact with potential customers.”
