New additions at Tannaghmore

TANNAGHMORE Gardens Animal Farm has recently welcomed two new exciting additions to its Pygmy Goat family.

Billy and Daisy were born just over two weeks ago and are settling into life at the farm well, while keeping visitors amused with their mischievous antics!

They are cheeky but very friendly and love to be petted and fed so why not come on down and see them for yourself?

They are currently living in the Petting Parlour where they can be seen exploring their enclosure and playing together under the watchful eyes of their mums, but will eventually move to the top of Goat Mountain with all the other Pygmy Goats.

David Conn, Ranger at Tannaghmore Gardens Animal Farm said: “Billy and Daisy are fantastic new additions to our extensive flock of animals. The farm offers animal lovers of all ages the chance to meet a variety of local and rare breed animals including piglets, pygmy goats, sheep, cows, donkeys and ponies.”

Chris Kernaghan and Sancha Talbot, who are both Animal Management students from South Eastern Regional College in Lisburn are currently helping out with the goats while completing their work placement at the farm. They added: “The new Pygmy Goats are brilliant animals to work with as they are both fun and friendly. They have already proved to be a big hit with both children and adults alike at the farm.”

Tannaghmore Farm is open every day from 10am until 8.30pm. Come along and enjoy the fabulous animals and beautiful surroundings at your leisure.
