New Boys’ Brigade in Armoy

The Boys’ Brigade (BB), the UK’s longest-running voluntary uniformed youth organisation, will launch a brand new group serving young boys across Armoy and is seeking new members to join in the fun.

The 1st Armoy Boys’ Brigade Company will launch 1st October, offering fun activities for children and young people, with an Anchor boy section (P1 – P4).

The group will be based at St Patrick’s Parish Church, Armoy and will meet on Thursday evenings where they will take part in activities including games, sport, craft, baking, trips out and Bible teaching led by church appointed, trained

Victoria Flanagan, BB Development Worker, said: “We’re delighted to be launching this new group to the area and to be embarking on a new approach to engage with young people through a programme of fun and exciting activities.

“We’re currently recruiting new members to join us and I would encourage all boys to come along and
give it a go.

“The Boys’ Brigade can offer children and young people valuable life experiences and provides a great atmosphere for them to make friends and try new challenges.”

The 1st Armoy Company will operate the following sessions: Anchors (P1 – P4) - Wednesdays 6.15 – 7.15pm.
