New counselling service at Stewartstown Primary School
Stewartstown Primary are thrilled to welcome Karen McKillion from Achieve NI as their new counsellor in school.
This is a new service that new Principal Ms Kendra Bolton has managed to secure and is organised through the very exciting BEE (Building Employment through Education ) Programme which the school is participating in. Karen will be offering free weekly counselling over the next two years, to the children and families who wish to avail of the service.
Ms Bolton said: “We are delighted to have been selected to participate in the BEE programme and are excited with the opportunities that come with it. Having a counsellor in our school is a very valuable service which very few schools in the area offer. It can only add more depth to our already high standards of pastoral care we have.”
