New date for health meeting

INFORMING the local community of a change of date notified by the Northern Trust, Ballycastle SDLP Councillor Dónal Cunningham has urged the local Community to attend a public meeting on the future of health and social care which is now to be held in Ballycastle High School on 11th December at 7.00pm and not Thursday November 29 as previously stated.

Said the councillor: “I would encourage local people to get involved in the public consultation on “Transforming Your Care”. Every household is to be sent an information leaflet on how they can get involved and give their views on the biggest change in health and social care delivery in a generation.

“Health provision within Moyle is an extremely important issue, and decision makers need to be made aware of the views of the local community who use the services whether as patients, relatives, clients, carers, service providers and citizens.

“We need to put our views forward so that Moyle has it’s say in the reshaping of our Health and Social Care system. Everyone wants to see an improvement on the quality of care and the outcomes for users. Moyle must not be overlooked because of its size and geography.”
