New exhibition at R-Space

R-SPACE Gallery in Castle Street is presenting a group exhibition that will explore how mathematical concepts underpin craft techniques and artistic development entitled ‘Beauty Is The First Test - Contemporary Craft And Mathematics’.

The exhibition, which previews on Tuesday, February 5, from 2-4pm, including a Curator’s talk at 3pm, attempts to demystify a subject that sometimes intimidates both adults and children, that of art and mathematics.

Beauty is the First Test’ will draw together existing and new artworks by artists Michael Brennand-Wood, Suresh Dutt, Janice Gunner, Lesley Halliwell, Lucy McMullen, Janette Matthews, Peter Randall Page, Ann Sutton and Laura Thomas.
