New Glynn venue for vintage event

THERE'S a new venue this year for the famous annual gathering organised by the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club, Ballyeaston Group 32 which will be held on the lands of DJ McKee and Sons, Shore Road, Glynn, after 13 years at Six Mile Water Park, Ballyclare.

Topping the bill will be local Ulster Scots group, the Grousebeaters.

There will also be the usual selection of vintage tractors, steam engines, stationary engines, cars, lorries and motor cycles – as well as Gilbert Armour’s famous McCarthy 31 Keyless Fairground Organ, the only one of its kind in Ireland.

There will also be a bouncy castle and plenty of entertainment for the younger generation.

One of the charities to benefit from the annual gathering is the East Antrim Group Riding for the Disabled.

Admission is 3 for adults, while children get in free.
