New home for Glens Irish Playgroup

PARENTS in the Glens of Antrim are invited to bring their toddlers along to the area's first Irish Language Playgroup – Grúpa Tuistí Agus Tachrán Lorg Éadain. The group, which meets on Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon, is moving to the Glens Hotel, Cushendall on March 4.

The parent and toddler group has been running since September 2009 and is open to all children of pre-school age. Already a number of local children and parents, most of whom had no previous background in Irish language, have been enjoying learning through play, songs and stories.

The children have the opportunity to enjoy arts and crafts, learn new songs and play with an extensive range of educational toys - a healthy snack is also provided. For parents it is a chance to make new friends in the area and learn some Irish rhymes and songs to enjoy with their children. So, come along and learn a cpla focail!
