New iPads introduced for Fort Hill students

Fort Hill College is celebrating its introduction of iPads for all of its Sixth Form students.

The school is embracing technology as a tool for active learning and an innovative way for students to take control of their learning.

Students are using the devices in various ways to improve their learning experience.

Apps are being used in A Level Art and Design to produce final pieces of work for assessment and in a range of A Level subjects for teaching, learning and assessment.

Teachers are also enjoying the training and are excited by the opportunities it opens up . The initiative was introduced by the Principal, Mrs Getty, with the support of the Board of Governors following a business plan proposal from the Key Stage 5 Coordinator Mrs McTurk.
