New jobs created as Arcatech scales new heights

Lisburn Telecoms Company Arcatech has announced the creation of new jobs after securing a 180,000 euro contract with Switzerland’s main Network operator Swisscom.

Terry Simpson, Arcatech Managing Director, said: “I can announce that we have committed to a further investment of just under £500,000 over the next 18 months, supported by £179,500 of assistance from Invest NI.

“As well as underpinning the existing workforce this investment will see new posts created in software development, marketing and finance.”

Arcatech Limited is a locally owned company, based in Lisburn which specialises in the design, manufacture and distribution of a range of leading edge Telecommunications test equipment, primarily for large Network Operators. It achieves 90% of its sales outside the UK and Ireland.

Grainne McVeigh, Invest NI’s Director of Life Sciences, Electronics and Consumer Products, said: “The commercial impact of Arcatech’s investment in product development is evident. I’m delighted that the company is working with Invest NI to drive further growth in the business through export marketing activities, new product development and the creation of these new jobs.”
