New Kids’ choir seeks singers!

CALLING all young enthusiastic singers! A new and vibrant youth choir named ‘Raise the Roof’ is about to be formed in Ballymena under the direction of local musician Alyson Reid, director of the Voice of Hope choir.

The choir will be twinned with the Imani youth choir from Uganda and the plan is to bring them over to Northern Ireland to tour with Raise the Roof in the near future.

Rehearsals will be held once a week on Saturdays between 2-4pm in the Braid Arts Centre beginning Saturday, October 13, with the first concerts die in January 2013. Members will be aged between seven to 14 years inclusively and no previous choir experience or vocal training is necessary. The choir is open to all backgrounds and communities to apply to join.
