New Line ‘safety improvement’ for Carrick
Signage is to upgraded on a stretch of Carrick’s New Line where there have been a number of recent accidents.
Knockagh Councillor Andrew Wilson has welcomed the measure to improve safety along the route.
Mr Wilson said: “I recently met with the police and roads service on the New Line to show them the local area and identify dangerous sections of the road that have been identified to me by constituents. “I am glad to note that TransportNI have issued a works order to upgrade the signs on the approach to this bend. I am advised that these signs will be erected in the near future. This will improve road safety in the area which has seen a number of recent single vehicle road traffic collisions in the recent past.”
