New link helps make connection faster

P&O Ferries has joined forces with Ulsterbus to offer customers travelling on foot brand new speedy connections on its Larne to Troon sailings.

The Ulsterbus Cross Channel service 923A, will give foot passengers the fastest through service available from Belfast Europa bus station to Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow with an early morning departure via Larne and an evening departure via Troon. Tickets will cost from £35 per person each way including coach and ferry travel.

Also for the first time, passengers can take advantage of the 256 Ulsterbus Goldliner service connecting the Port of Larne with the Europa Bus Centre in Belfast.

This premium coach service will now take customers in comfort to the afternoon Larne to Troon sailing and meet passengers arriving on the morning service from Troon to Larne.

Announcing the launch of the new connections, Neal Mernock, Sector Director – Irish Sea, P&O Ferries said: “This is an exciting new development for foot passengers travelling to and from Glasgow with P&O Ferries. We carry thousands of foot passengers each year and we are continually looking at ways to improve the services we can provide for them. These new connections will offer the perfect travel solution for many of our customers and I am delighted to be announcing their launch today.”

A dedicated web page for independent travellers has been created at POferries.com and gives full details of all coach and rail connections at the ports of Larne and Troon as well as providing an nline booking facility.
