New Lodge officers elected

THE Quarterly meeting of Limavady District Lodge was held in Boveva Orange Hall on Thursday, October 21, under the auspices of Boveva Purple Star LOL 260.

There was an excellent attendance of officers from the private lodges, and those present were welcomed to the meeting by the Worshipful District Master Wor Bro James McCorkell and Bro William Meenagh, WM LOL 260.

A number of items of business including mention of the excellent day had by all at the Twelfth of July 2010 in Portrush, final arrangements for the District Dinner at Roe Park in November and invitations to neighbouring districts to attend the July Twelfth in 2011 in Limavady were dealt with.

Following the formal business the WDM, Wor Bro James McCorkell, called upon Wor Bro Ivan Kelly, past County Grand Master, County Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge, to conduct the election of officers, assisted by Wor Bro Rev John Noble Deputy City Grand Chaplain City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge.

Incoming officers are: WDM, James McCorkell; DDM, Mark Smith; Secretary, Jonathan Holmes; Treasurer, Keith Thompson; Chaplains, Rev Alistair Smyth and Rev Joseph Bryans and Lay Chaplain, David Carmichael.

Committee chairman, Ernest Clyde BEM, and committee members: Alan McAleese, Oliver Martin, Colin McDonald and Roy Nichol.
