New look for Ballee P.O.

A plan by Post Office Ltd. to change Ballee P.O. to one of their new-look, main style branches has been welcomed by Ballymena borough councillors.

The branch, which is located at The Phoenix on Antrim Road, will be closed for refurbishment from January 8 at 5.30pm and will re-open on January 16 at 1pm.

The work will, according to correspondence from Post Office to Council, create a more modern, open plan environment for users, the same products and services they’re used to and longer opening hours.

After hearing the details at a Committee meeting last Thursday night, Cllr Beth Adger said that, given the popularity of the Post Office with customers from a wide area, the modernisation would be welcome.

Her remarks were backed by Committee chair, Cllr Hubert Nicholl.
