New music academy launched

Movin’ Music Academy (MMA) specialises in training for aspiring Djs and producers. The academy boasts expert tutors who have over two decades worth of experience in the industry.

The academy is currently located at Unit 7 Springtown Industrial Estate. It has four purpose built rehearsal studios and comes fully equipped with the finest industry standard equipment.

The level of technology on show might seem a bit daunting to a complete beginner but the academy offers an eight week basic introduction course requiring nothing but a passion for music.

The tutors will teach you the basics on all formats of DJing using CDJ decks, Vinyl Turntables, DJ software, Mixers and Midi Controllers.

The basic course also offers the chance to become familiar with music production and gives an insight into the promotion side of the business as well.

Those who fancy themselves a bit more advanced than that can avail of the intermediate/advanced course were the expert tutors will be able to show you a more in depth way around djing and music production whilst allowing you to get to grips with music software packages like Logic, Ableton, Reason, NI Machine & Cubase.

The academy also caters to groups/clubs who may want to custom build their own course to suit their own specific requirements.

They also provide a mobile service where they can come to you, be it a school, club, festival, Leisure Centre or special event.
