New Northern Trust website is useful information source

THE new look Northern Trust website with new content and enhanced features has everything that service users, their carers and the general public need or want to find out about the Trust in one place.

Sarah Barkley from Newtownabbey Borough Council said: “Northern Trust site is a useful resource for the whole community. It contains information on services in our area, contact details and the ‘Live Well’ section provides advice on stopping smoking, heart health and physical activity, all of which are vital in achieving a healthy lifestyle.”

The website www.northerntrust.hscni.net was designed with the needs of the Northern Trust’s audience in mind. Navigation through the site is simple with the latest news and updates highlighted on the homepage. It has a wealth of information, available 24/7.

The site contains a dedicated section for services including a complete A-Z guide of Northern Trust services, information for carers, details of support groups, specific pages for hospital sites and a Live Well section offering advice on giving up smoking, physical activity, sexual health, alcohol and drugs, dementia, stroke prevention, mental health, falls prevention and nutrition.

‘Find Your Local Service’ is a useful feature, which allows the user to use their postcode or the name of their town to find services in the area such as the local opticians’ or pharmacy.
