New owners for Corner House

Last week the Derrymacash pub, which has changed hands several times in recent years, was taken over by two new tenants on a long-term lease, understood to be a minimum of three years.

The new leaseholders say they’ll be concentrating on making the bar a welcoming family location, offering good food and good entertainment.

It’s been confirmed some former staff who had been laid off will be coming back to work in the bar.

One of the new tenants said: “It will be more family orientated with good food, good beer and good craic.

“We’re bringing back the Sunday carvery. There will be weekend entertainment for all ages and food served daily.”

The opening hours of the pub will also return to normal having been cut in recent months.
