New Portrush Post Office at Nisa store to open at the end of June

The Post Office is opening a new Post Office ‘local’ service at the Nisa store at Dunluce Street, Portrush.

The service, which launches on Tuesday, June 30 at 1pm, will be provided from two open-plan combination counters in the store, where the Post Office terminals will sit alongside the till.

All staff will be trained to meet Post Office professional standards for security and service. There will be a hearing loop at the counter and adequate space provided for customers using a wheelchair to move around the store.

Post Office services will be available during the store’s opening hours, 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday.

Local residents and small business customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office services during the extended opening hours, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.

Other services include withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can pay bill, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.

The opening hours which will increase by an extra 16 and a half hours a week, will make the branch more convenient, as people will have more choice of when they can visit with no more lunchtime closing and a Wednesday and Saturday afternoon service.

The present Portrush Post Office at 23 Eglington Street, Portrush will close at 5:30pm on Monday, June 29. Post Office services canbe accessed from any Post Office branch, including Portstewart Post Office at 90 The Promenade.
