The Carrick congregation is one of over 40 belonging to the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Ireland, a denomination with a history dating back over 450 years to the Reformation in Scotland.

Carrickfergus Reformed Presbyterian Church is beginning a special four-part series of evening meetings this Sunday, at 7.00 pm.

The series, entitled “Making your Mark”, will reflect on the lives and the faith of four individuals who lived extraordinary lives. guest speaker Rev Philip Moffett from Cullybackey will speak about Scottish Olympian and missionary to China, Eric Liddel whose story, of course, has been powerfully portrayed in the film ‘Chariots of Fire’.

The subjects of the remaining meetings will be the English missionary and author Dr. Helen Roseveare (July 30), Northern Irish missionary Amy Carmichael (October 29) who served in India for 55 years and Belfast born author C.S Lewis (December 31).
