New Presbyterian Minister on way to Cookstown parish

Cookstown’s new Reformed Presbyterian Minister was welcomed to the town with an ordination at Molesworth Presbyterian Church on Friday evening.

Paul Wright is moving to Cookstown from his native Coleraine with wife Sarah and daughter Eva.

A former student of Coleraine Institute and a Coventry university, the new minister said he realised after graduating as a physiotherapist, that his calling was not to look after people’s bodies but to minister to their souls.

This led to three years of training at the Reformed Theological College in Belfast, from which he graduated last Spring.

After working with Rev Robert McCollum in Lisburn RP Church, Paul said he is very excited about coming to Cookstown to lead Bible study, prayer and public worship at the Hub.
