The move comes following a strong lobby for the final road surface to be laid within the next two weeks.

Speaking on the issue Cllr Lockhart said, “this is a massive win for the residents of Old Coach Hill.

“I got involved in the situation some five weeks ago and have worked with the developer, Northern Ireland Water, and Road Service and am delighted that progress has been made and that the resurfacing will take place.

“I have been able to secure the adoption of the sewers, and lighting and the final coat to be laid as a result.

Residents were very frustrated that after four years the road surface is in the development was in terrible condition with cars continuously getting damaged on the large pot holes and raised man hole covers.

“I am pleased to say that progress has been made and that the surfacing is scheduled weather permitting within the next couple of weeks.Residents united with us on this matter and together we have got a great result.”
